Showing all 12The associate was cutting a piece of rubber for a rock shaker when the knife that he was using slipped and cut the back of his left hand. The cut was approximately 1/2". It does not appear that any damage was done beyond a soft tissue flesh wound.
Employee was changing flights on the coarse material washers. He stepped from the top of the tool box to the bed of the repair truck and twisted his ankle.
Employee was dismounting haul truck, foot got caught causing him to fall. He tried to catch his fall with arm and hurt arm. Went for X-ray on 5/8/12, results indicate wrist is broken.

EE WAS REPAIRING A LIEBHERR 974 AND WAS EVIDENTLY STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. EE WAS HOLDING A METAL HYDRAULIC HOSE WHEN HE HEARD A LOUD BANG AND WAS KNOCKED TO THE GROUND. EE HAS NO KNOWN INJURIES, BUT IS BEING HELD AT THE HOSPITAL FOR OBSERVATION.
EE WAS HELPING WELDERS WELD A SHAKER SCREEN. EE ASSISTED ALL DAY AND THAT NIGHT HIS EYES BEGAN HURTING. EE WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM THAT NIGHT. DR BANDAGED HIS EYES FOR FLASHBURNS.
EE CUT FINGER ON LEFT HAND WHILE CUTTING PLASTIC PIPE.
EMPLOYEE WAS LOWERING STEEL PLATE TO THE GROUND WITH CHAIN. HIS RIGHT HAND WAS STEADYING STEEL WHEN THE CHAIN SLIPPED OVER HIS FINGER. HIS FINGER WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN THE STEEL PLATE & LIFTING CHAIN CAUSING A CUT WHICH REQUIRED SEVERAL STITCHES.
EE WAS USING A KNIFE TO ENLARGE A BOLT HOLE IN A WEAR LINER. THE KNIFE SLIPPED CAUSING A STAB WOUND IN THE LEFT HAND.
