In the process of starting operations for the day, the plant operator received 1st degree burns when the electrical box in the electrical shed used for the Deister Screen arced while disengaging the knife switch. He had engaged the switch to on, discovered the electrical motor had not come on, then in the process of pulling the knife switch to off position it arced.
