FRONT END LOADER STOPPED WORKING, SO HE CHECKED THE BATTERY CABLE CONNECTION. WHILE HOLDING DOWN THE LOOSE CONNECTION WITH HIS FOOT, HE STARTED THE IGNITION CAUSING THE BATTERY TO EXPLODE. IT SPRAYED PIECES OF BATTERY AND ACID INTO FACE ANDCHEST AREA. PATIENT HAS SCRATCH-LIKE BURNS TO CHEST AND HAS CORNEAL BURNS TO EYES.

THE EE WAS ATTEMPTING TO ADJUST FUSE CLIPS LOCATED IN AN ELECTRICAL PANEL BOX ON THE FIVE LILIES CRANE. HE SUFFERED FLASH BURNS TO HIS FACE AND NECK AND 4TH DEGREE BURNS TO HIS RIGHT HAND WHEN THE PLIERS HE WAS USING CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE LIFE PHAS OF THE FUS DISCONNECT.
