THE CONTINUOUS MINER HAD MOVED TO 1 HEADING IN ROOM Y AND WAS SET UP TO START CUTTING THE MINER HELPER HAD JUST WALKED AROUND THE CORNER OF 1 TO 2 CROSSCUT AND WAS STANDING APPROX. 60' INBY S S 1276 WHEN A PIECE OF SLATE FELL FROM THE RIB, STRIKING HIM ON THE RIGHT LOWER LEG. BROKE 2 BONES IN THE FOOT.
