The employee had gone through the first check curtain located just inby #4 break and was headed towards the 2nd check curtain when a rock, approximately 3' x 3' x 1' thick, fell from the top and struck the employee on the hard hat driving ee to the ground.

Injured was knocking a block out of a stopping when a piece of roof rock fell and struck him on the right forearm. This resulted in a laceration requiring 4 stitches.
