THE INJURED MINER WAS A SHUTTLE CAR OPERATOR. HE HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF SHUTTLE CAR TO HELP LOADER OPERATOR BAR-DOWN SOME CAP COAL THAT WAS HANGING FROM RIB. WHEN THE CAP COAL WAS BARRED DOWN A P IECE OF ROCK FELL FROM BETWEEN ROOF BOLTS AND STRUCK MINER ON THE HIP.
