The middle finger of the employee was torn when it was caught between a punch that the employee was holding and a strip of metal. Finger had stitches and 2 pins placed in the bone to strengthen the bone. Employee is off work for a week.

Showing all 2EE was shoveling material. When he raised up and rotated with his back to empty the shovel full of material, he felt a "pop" in his lower back. Poor body mechanics was a contributor to the injury. More ergonomic training would be beneficial. No rules or regs were broken; no PPE issues were involved and there were no equipment issues. No lost time, just minor restrictions.
