The miner bent over to lift up an object and hurt his back. Diagnosis is determined to be muscle spasms or thoracic spine, thoracic spine strain.

The miner picked up a 100-pound piece of stone and dropped it on his right pinky.

Employee slammed left two fingers on left hand in the door of crane. Upon noticing hand was bothered, employee's supervisor sought a cold compress to be applied to the affected area. Employee refused further treatment at that time and went back to work. Next day (10/20/2012), swelling was worse and employee sought attention from ER. Diagnosis was fractured pinky finger.
