Subject alleges he was hanging coal drill cable to roof bolt plate. The drill operator engaged cable reel and it struck subject in rib cage. Bruised and possible fractured ribs.

EE WAS LIFTING CRIB BLOCKS. HE SAID HE FELT A PULL IN HIS LEFT ABDOMEN AREA. THIS ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON 2/22/03. HAD NO LOST TIME UNTIL HE WAS OPERATED ON 4/16/03 FOR DOUBLE HERNIA.
