The employee was installing a v belt on a Cedar Rapids crusher. He got the tip end of his ring finger between the shiv and the v belt and the crushed rolled and caught his finger breaking it.

Employee called in from home and stated that this condition had been bothering him for years. Employee thought he had a pulled a groin. Sent him from home to doctor. He chose to go to the emergency room. Attending Physician examined and diagnosed a hernia. Physician recommended that he see his personal doctor.
