While removing an old piece of metal off the top deck of a discharge chute on a screening plant, the technician picked up the metal and it cut through the technician's glove and into finger causing a laceration.

EE, a loader operator, was working on a guard above EE's head this morning and a bunch of powdery dirt fell off the belt frame above EE's head and hit EE in the face. It got around EE's safety glasses and got some in EE's eyes.

Worker was shoveling at a screen plant. He felt a pain in his lower back. He continued his shift running a skid loader. He did not report the incident until the next day.

TWO WORKERS WERE LIFTING LEGS TO A CONVEYOR BELT TO TURN THEM OVER AND HOOK A CRANE ON TO THEM TO PUT THEM IN PLACE. WHEN THE LUGS WERE ABOUT CHEST HIGHT RYINT TO CHANGE POSITIONS WITH HIS ARM S AND HANDS THE WORKER FELT SOME PAIN IN HIS LOWER BACK. ABOUT 200 LBS.

EE WAS WORKING ON THE SCREEN PLANT. FELT A PAIN IN HIS BACK THAT WENT DOWN HIS LEG. HE HAD A BACK INJURY ADN SURGERY IN JAN. 1999 HE THOUGHT ITWAS JUST A FLARE UP FROM THAT. HE DID NOT REPORT A NEW INJURY, THOUGHT REST ON THE WEEHAND WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. SUBSEQUENT TESTING SHOWS NEW INJURY, NEEDS SURGERY.
