Showing all 4While installing belt for new conveyor, EE had left hand clasped on cable, to close to snatch block pulley system, when the tension relieved itself from belt thus jerking left hand into pulley, and pinching small finger between cable and frame of pulley.
Rigging a bundle of rebar with chains, bundle was raised, a 2x4 was placed under the bundle. As the bundle was lowered, the employees' pinky finger on right hand was caught between the 2x4 and the ground. Produced an open fracture of tuft of distal phalanx of finger.
