Showing all 3Incident occurred on the 11th of January but was not reported to the operator until the January 21st. While changing screen decks on a Rotex, the miner felt a pop in their back which was later determined to be a sprain. The injured miner sought treatment at a chiropractor triggering reportability.
Miner attempted to add coolant to the haul truck the miner was operating. Miner failed to allow the equipment to cool before attempting to open radiator cap. When cap released pressure the coolant from inside the radiator sprayed the miner's shoulder, resulting in 2nd degree burn.
