Employee was drilling limestone shot holes when a 14' drill steel broke. He retrieved steel from the hole to replace it. As he attempted to remove drill bit from coupler, the broken steel slid down trapping his hand under drill bit against the ground. He cut his right index finger requiring 8 stitches.

AT 9 AM, EMPLOYEE WAS SECURING A DRAG BUCKET ONTO A LOWBOY TRAILER. AS HE WAS TRYING TO GET THE CHAIN BINDER TO LOCK IN, IT SPRUNG UP STRIKING HIM ON HIS LEFT CHEEK (FACIAL AREA) CAUSING MINOR SWELLING. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR PRE-CAUTIONARY MEASURES.
