INJURED WAS TRYING TO REMOVE PULSATION DAMPER IN A PRESSURIZED CAUSTIC PIPE. AS THE DAMPENER RELEASED THE LIQUID CAUSTIC SODA GUSHED OUT. THE EE INSTINTIVELY STEPPED BACK AND RAISED HIS ARMS T O PROTECT HIMSELF. THE EE'S HAND STRUCK HIS FACE SHIELD KNOCKING IT UP AND CAUSTIC SPLASHED ON HIS MOUTH.
