Doing mechanic work on loader bucket. Lifting plate onto bottom of bucket of loader with other mechanics help. Pulled his back, pain occurred immediately.
Mechanic was changing ripper tooth on D11 dozer. When he went to lift the ripper tooth up, he had immediate pain in his lower back.
He had climbed off the excavator and walked to his truck to get something to drink. He walked back to the excavator and as he was climbing back into his cab, he felt severe pain in his lower back. He saw a dr in the afternoon and came back to work the next day. Since then it has just go on worse and he has to have surgery.
