Contract employee (ID #5UF) smashed his right hand while exiting the scoop. He caught his hand between the scoop door and the canopy.

Employee got dust inside both eyes.

Employee was pulling a pump cable. The cable hit him in the left eye causing mud and coal to get beneath his eye lid. Eye was irritated and swollen.

Employee strained and pulled right arm tricep while shoveling belt line.

Employee dropped the continuous miner head motor on his right index finger.

Employee strained back while hanging cable.

EMPLOYEE SPRAINED LOWER BACK WHILE HANGING MINER CABLE

Ee was working with the drill steel on a roof bolter when he pulled a muscle in his back. He is in physical therapy. Should be back to work in three or four weeks.

Ee twisted his knee while working on a scoop. No real problem at the time of occurrence, but the next morning his knee was swelled badly. Missed 4 days and came back in good shape.

Ee is a repairman. He was preparing a piece of equipment to work on it. He was replacing the cable. When he threw it over the equipment to the side he pulled his back. The doctor is doing tests. Too soon to say how long he will be off.

Ee was loading belt on 7-15-11 when he developed pain in his left shoulder. He worked several more shifts before going to the doctor. His first day off work was 8-5-11. The doctor found that he had a tear in his rotator cuff. Surgery is required and Ee will be off work for several weeks.

When Ee removed check plug from the miner head, oil flew out into his face. Oil and metal shavings got into his eye. Missed three days work, but his eye is not going to have any damage.

Ee was bending a 4' bolt in low top. Caused him to have a hernia. He is now off due to surgery.

Miner was carrying rock to put on the bottm of a curtain and pulled a muscle in his groin. Ended up very minor and he missed one day and came back to work.

Ee was loading supplies onto scoop and strained his back.

The rub rail on the miner was being removed when it fell and hit Ee on foot. The impact broke his little toe. Required surgery to repair. Ee will be off work a couple or three weeks.

Employee bent down to shovel a belt when his knee popped. Doctors are saying that his knee cap may have popped loose and a little physical therapy should take care of the problem.

Ee was rock dusting the belt line by hand when he heard something pop in his shoulder. After doctor visits, it has been determined he pulled a muscle slightly away from the bone. No surgery required at present. Physical therapy should take care of the problem.

Injured miner was hanging miner cable and pulled something in his shoulder.

Ee was helping hang high line on #2 belt when he said a knot came upon his lower back.

EE WAS PULLING BELT ROPE & STRAINED LEFT HIP.
