Employee working to empty a bin hit their left middle finger with a rubber hammer. The employee was evaluated and was found their finger tip had been fractured. The finger was wrapped and padded and the employee returned to work.
Employee was putting drive belts on a screen deck. Was using a pipe wrench on the shaft to turn the counterweight. When the counterweight came over the top, it spun pulling the pipe wrench down and catching the little finger on the employees left hand pinching it. The employee was transported to the doctor and required stitches.
Operator was helping to get a piece of drill steel that had gotten stuck in the back loose. The operator was using a pipe wrench to grasp the steel and was attempting to pull it out when their thumb was pinched in between the wrench and bottom of top plate of bolter. The employee was taken to the hospital for evaluation and released back to work with restrictions.
Operator was removing bolts on Evaporator Body demister door and the bolt loosened up. The wrench slipped smashing/cutting the operator's little finger between the wrench and the floor grating. The operator was wearing gloves. The operator was transported to Sweetwater Memorial Hospital for observation, and it was determined it needed two stitches.
