Miner was cutting a belt using a hand-operated belt cutter. Miner applied force to the cutter which moved forward suddenly. Forearm was lacerated by cutter guide fence and/or securement device. Laceration closed by 12 stitches.

WHILE STRIKING A PUNCH OR CHISEL WITH A HAMMER A PIECE OF METAL BROKE OFF OF THE CHISEL AND PUNCTURED THE FOREARM IMBEDDING A SMALL PIECE OF METAL IN THE ARM.
