EE, A MINE OPERATOR WAS ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE A USED RIPPER TOOTH FROM A DOZER RIPPER SHANK BY HITTING IT WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER. A SMALL SLIVER CAME OFF OF THE RIPPER TOOTH AND HIT THE EE IN THE LT. SHIN AND FOOT CAUSING A LACERATION. THE ATTENDING DR. APPLIED SOME SUTURES TO CLOSE THE CUT.
