Employee received 5 stitches and returned to work on his next regularly scheduled shift. This is a medical only injury.
The employee was tightening the bolts on a new chemical pump. The wrench he was using slipped causing his right hand to strike a shim that was under an adjacent bolt. This resulted in a laceration to the back of his right thumb which required sutures.
