EE was removing adapter fitting off 2" washdown hose used for cooling for belt cooking equipment in the Pellet Plant. EE used 2 - 18" pipe wrenches to the reducing bushing & coupler to remove & replace w/washdown hose nozzle. When applied pressure, EE felt pain in right shoulder.

Hibbing Taconite Company · Struck against stationary object

MMG was using 5' pry bar to align holes of tracks to insert pins to reattach tracks to shovel. Pry bar slipped, caused right hand to impact hydraulic pump skid nearby, resulting in small cut to tip of right ring finger. Medical glue used to close cut.

EE was installing the mill motor cooler on the Line 2 West Mill Motor. While utilizing 2 1/2-foot prybar to line up bolt holes, the employee felt pain in their left elbow area.

EE attempting to clear a feeder plug on line 6 with a pry bar. EE dislodged small rock causing the larger rock to slough. The crane hook used to assist with the plug released hitting EE left hand.

Employee was cutting flex metal conduit for shovel tugger motors at shovel repair site. While attempting to cut through rubber tap over the damaged section of conduit that was being removed, the utility knife being used slipped resulting in a cut to their left wrist area. Cut was treated with 2 stitches.

Loader was getting bucket teeth changed out in the pit (Webb) area. A production truck driver was helping with the task. Employee used a 2 lb. hammer to pound on the tooth to loosen for removal. A piece of material from the tooth struck the employee on the left forearm causing a cut resulting in stitches.

EE was changing carrier bearing on the drive shaft of Service Truck. While hitting the carrier bearing install tool with a brass hammer, the hammer contacted the ee's left thumb causing a distal tuft fracture to left thumb. Employee was issued protective splint and restrictions.
