HE WAS USING A 7ORGUE WRENCH TO TAKE THE BOLTS OFF THE BELLY PAN OF A D-9 DOZER. HE WAS WORKING APPARENTLY WITH HIS HANDS AND ARMS NOT IN THE CLEAR. HE HAD JUST STARTED LOOSENING THE LAST BOL T, WHEN THE PAN3BROKE FREE AND BY FALLING, PINNED HIS LEFT HAND. COME-A-LONG AND OR BLOCKING WERE NO USED.
