Drive motor belts broke on horizontal impact crusher. They wrapped around the shive. The first few belts were tough to cut. The second to last belt cut very easy because the last belt broke while cutting the second to last belt. Cut the inside of left forearm with razor knife. 8 stitches.

Showing all 2Employee (EE) was working inside primary crusher changing impact hammers. When witness struck the impact hammer with a sledge, a shard broke loose from the impact hammer and struck EE in the arm, lodging just below the skin. EE was transported by supervisor to local ER where Dr. cut out shard and applied 3 sutures. EE returned to work with no restrictions same day.
