Employee was using an 8-foot steel bar at the P 9/10 chute to remove a slab (rock) at the bottom of the chute. As the employee was attempting to hit the slab, their left hand hit the bottom of the chute door and smashed their left pinky finger.

Morenci Mill Maintenance employee was in the belt shop attempting to cut some skirting for a belt job. As they began to cut using the Olfa knife, the knife slipped cutting into the A6 rated glove and HexArmor sleeve into the employees left thumb, side cutting the skin next to the nail.

An operator was using a rock hook to unplug a chute. They were pulling up on a stuck rock when it broke loose which caused the tool to come up and make contact with the employee's central incisor #8 (front upper) tooth.

Employee was cutting drip, when EE placed the cutters in EE's pants pocket without engaging the safety latch. Open cutters caused a laceration on EE's left thigh. The employee also was given sheath for cutters and was not using it at the time.

A mechanic was working on a mast raise cylinder. Attempting to loosen a flange bolt with a wrench and it would not loosen. The mechanic then grabbed a 2lb hammer and struck the wrench several times. On the last strike they missed the wrench and struck their left hand in between the finger and the thumb

At approximately 7:05 AM, a crew was transferring buckets of concrete cure and seal to a new pallet due to damage on the original. One bucket had leaked and adhered to its cardboard base. After failed removal attempts, a utility knife was used to cut around it. During the cut, the blade slipped and struck a worker's leg above the knee.

An employee tried to cut a hose with a utility knife and slipped, causing a laceration to the left middle and index finger. Went restricted duty on 1/30/2025
Employee was cutting rope and cut left thumb at the base. Employee said they did not feel the cut until they took off the gloves to wash their hands for lunch. That is when employee called the supervisor.

EE was cutting the CM Hose with a utility knife and hand slipped, slicing the left-hand ring finger. EE called the Triage Hotline number for support on dealing with the injury. EE cleaned the cut and applied Neosporin and a band-aid to the affected finger. EE was seen at Local Urgent Care and was informed that the cut would require stiches.

FCX technician was operating a hydraulic hand pump to raise the crowd drive motor on a 4100XPC to make room for replacing the crowd belts. FCX technician states the hand pump lost pressure and the motor assembly fell. EE had left hand holding the jack screw in position when it fell and the jack screw pinched their left thumb and index finger against the block.

An employee was attempting to open the door using a crow bar and was struggling. Injured employee moved over to the location and using the same bar assisted them in pulling on the bar to get the door open. The bar either slipped out of position or they broke the door loose causing them to loose grip on the bar and striking injured employee on the wrist causing the fracture.
As one of the employees was picking up material from the pile, the other employee had bent down and was going to pick up material with EE's shovel. While EE was leaning down, EE was picking up material and contacted another employee, causing a cut on EE's forehead.

A mechanic was working on a truck at the 5100 field workshop and found the shifter knob had been taped with a significant amount of duct tape. The mechanic had to use a razor knife to cut the tape off and accidentally cut their left palm requiring stitches. The mechanic was wearing gloves with a low level of cut protection.
