Field Technician was attempting to remove debris (dirt, mud, blasting agent residue) from pants leg by using a personal open blade pocket knife. In the process of pulling pants leg tight while scrapping the pants leg with a knife, the Field Technician lacerated their left forearm requiring two stitches.

EE was using a sledge hammer and bit to try and dislodge a clog in a feeder. EE hit the bit with the sledge hammer and it fell out hit the feeder and the bounced and hit EE in the mouth, knocking out EE's front tooth and chipping 2 others.

On 5/11/2019 the employee was raking grates during the shift and then went to the top of K2 coal bin to clear a plugged chute. While bending over the chute with a rod that was used to clear the opening, the employee felt pain in EE's back. After prolonged pain in EE's back the employee sought medical attention on 6/19/19.

On 7/2/2016, EE was removing buckets from a bucket elevator chain. While completing this task, the EE hit left thumb with a hammer. EE reported the injury on 7/5/2016.

EE was attempting to break a allen head bolt loose on a trunnion roll in the shop. EE was using an allen wrench and when the bolt broke free EE's hand slipped forward and was cut on the housing of the roll resulting in a laceration to the left index finger requiring 4 stitches.

EE was helping change out the #3 spray tower pump. EE was using a 36" inch aluminum pipe wrench and was pulling it toward EE's body to loosen the nut and EE felt a sharp pain in lower back.

Employee was cleaning out from under the rail scales, he was shovelling lime into a 5 gallon bucket to be dumped. Lime fell down into the employee's pants and he suffered 2nd degree burns across his buttocks and one of his legs.

The employee was attempting to dislodge a piece of metal from the southeast cooler feeder of kiln number one lime cooler. The pry bar he used had an L-shaped hand grip. While thrusting the bar through a four inch by four inch clean out port, the bar missed the metal and the employee's left middle finger was smashed between the bar and the clean out port.

Worker was either breaking castable or welding on elevator buckets when something got in his eye. Employee did not know that something was in eye until he awoke to find his right eye matted shut and puffy. Worker was taken to eye doctor and given a prescription for eye.

EE was attempting to cut broken V-belt from the drive pulley of the grizzly feeder. He was using a utility knife. His first cut was directed away from his body. That cut went half way through the belt. He turned the utility knife toward his body and attempted to finish the cut. The knife slipped off the belt and cut his left thumb.

Worker was using a 12 lb. sledge hammer to break up a concrete wall. When he stopped and began to clean up the area, he experienced intense pain and was temporarily unable to use his right shoulder. The injury was diagnosed as a shoulder strain. He was prescribed anti-inflammatory and pain medication for one week.

Injured was attempting to break loose a plugged lime chute using a bar and hammer. When lime broke loose, it came through the 5" port hole and hit injured in the face. It knocked the dust mask loose causing injured to breathe in a large amount of lime.
