Showing all 3The miner was using a wrench to disassemble a DTH drill while a colleague was on the control of the machine. The machine was set in motion while the miner had hand close to the wrench (but not on it). The wrench struck the miner on the right hand thumb, pinching it between the tool and the shaft. Miner was taking to hospital for stitches and x-ray. Thumb is broken.
The employee was trying to position the track of the wire saw using a steel bar. As employee was lifting/pushing the bar, employee's foot slipped and employee hurt knee.
