Assisting mine employees to remove a bushing from 4 1/2 Simons cone crusher. Injured was holding a steel bar for another miner who was striking it with a sledge hammer. The bar slipped off and his right thumb was pinched against the bushing. Received 6 stitches and then returned to work.

Employee was using a folding knife to push the locking pin of a wiring harness. The knife slipped off of the pin resulting in a finger laceration on the left hand requiring sutures.

While using a utility knife to trim rubber from a conveyor belt, knife slipped and struck employee on left forearm. Treatment required 4 stitches to forearm.

While sledging track pin in track a sliver of steel went into wrist of employee

wHILE PECKING ON A AXLE GEAR WITH HAMMER A SLIVER CAME OFF AND STRUCK MACHINC IN UPPER LIP EMBEDDING INSELF IN LIP.

A miner was installing a bucket tooth on the shovel, when he struck the tooth with a hammer and a piece broke off and imbedded in his right cheek.

A MINER WAS CUTTING A PLASTIC TIE STRAP WITH A POCKET KNIFE WHEN THE KNIFE SLIPPED AND LACERATED HIS WRIST.

THE EMPLOYEE WAS CUTTING OFF THE TIP OF A TUBE OF CALK WHEN THE UTILITY KNIFE HE WAS USING SLIPPED CUTTING HIS HAND.

EE WAS REMOVING A DRILL BIT ON #75 DRILL UNIT WHEN THE CHAIN WRENCH HE WAS USING BROKE. THE CHAIN WRENCH BROKE SWINGING OUT AND STRIKING THE EMPLOYEE'S LEFT KNEE AND LEFT HAND. EE RECEIVED LAC ERATION TO THE LEFT KNEE AND CONTUSION TO THE LEFT HAND.
