Ee was making a belt splice when his knife slipped and cut his leg. Went to er, got stitches and returned to work the next scheduled shift. So there was no lost time.
Ee was striking a bolt with a hammer when a piece of metal went into his eye. The er could not get it out. The eye doctor got it out, no problem. Missed one day of work
EE was cutting a coupling. He accidentally stabbed himself in the leg. It required 4 stitches. He only missed a few hours work.
QUESTION 5A- UNDERGROUND LOCATION IS ON BELT LINE. MINER WAS MUCKING BELT LINE WHEN A PIECE OF COAL FLEW UP AND HIT HIM IN LEFT EYE. SAW THE DOCTOR AND MEDICATED IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. ENDED WITH NO PROBLEM.
EE WAS USING A BAR TO MOVE STRAPS, WHEN A STRAP SLIPPED CAUSING BAR TO HIT HIM ON LEG. THE IMPACT WAS TO THE SHIN AND CAUSED IMMEDIATE BRUISING AND PUT A DENT INTO LEG. WENT TO LOCAL HOSPITAL, X-RAYS SHOWED NO BREAK. THIS OCCURED ON THURSDAY. EE TOOK OFF REST OF WEEK AND RETURNED TO WORK MONDAY 7-22-02 WITH NO RESTRICTIONS.
EE IS A REPAIRMAN. A WRENCH SLIPPED WHILE WORKING ON A MINER CAUSING HIM TO HIT HIS RIGHT ARM & ELBOW. HE WENT TO CLOVERFORK CLINIC TO GET CHECKED OUT. ENDED UP ONLY A BAD BRUISE.
EMPLOYEE WAS USING A HAMMER TO BUST A WELD OF A MINER BIT AND THE HAMMER BOUNCED AND HIT HIM ON THE NOSE.
WHILE WORKING ON WATER LINE WAS STRUCK ON LITTLE FINGER OF RIGHT HAND BY AN ANCHOR PIN.
EE AND OTHER WERE SAWING A TIMBER WHEN A PIECE OF DRAW ROCK FELL FROM ROOF STRIKING EE ON RIGHT SHOULDER.
