Individual was letting slack out of a hand cranked boat winch used to support the roof mesh on the extraction longwall face, when he lost his grip on the handle and the handle spun around and struck him in the left wrist causing a bruise. Advise by Doctor not to use hand for 4 - 5 days.
WHILE CUTTING SOME TAPE OFF THE END OF A SHUTTLE CAR CABLE FOR MAKING A SPLICE. THE RAZOR KNIFE SLIPPED & CUT LEFT HAND. THIS CAUSED A 1/2 INCH LACERATION THAT NEEDED 4 STITCHES TO CLOSE.
WHILE REPAIRING THE SHEAR PIN ON THE RELAY BAR, THE PANLINE ROCKED BACKWARDS FROM OTHER SHIELDS ON THE FACE DOING A PAN PUSH. THIS PINCHED INDIVIDUALS FINGER BETWEEN RELAY BAR AND ANTI SLEW BR ACKET CAUSING A LACERATION AND A FRACTURE TO TIPTOF LT INDEX FINGER.
