Showing all 3Initial injury occurred on 1/7/14. The employee was using a spud bar to clear a plugged chute when he felt a strain on his right arm. Initially, no first aid was sought. Later,(1/22/14), the employee went for follow-up tests to see why his arm continued to hurt. Prognosis- partial tear of the common extensor tendon.
THE EMPLOYEE WAS ATTEMPTING TO DISLODGE STICKY FUEL FROM A RETURN IDLER ON A CONVEYOR BY USING A SCRAPER. THE SCRAPER GOT CAUGHT BETWEEN THE IDLER & THE CONVEYOR. THE EE'S LT. THUMB WAS PINCHED BETWEEN THE SCRAPER & STRUCTURAL BEAM.
