WHILE OPERARTING A COMPRESSED AIR DRIVEN JACKLEG IN ORDER TO DRILL A VERTICAL HOLE IN THE FLOOR, THE STARTER STEEL BROKE, SENDING THE SHAFT OF THE STARTER STEEL ONTO THE FOOT OF THE OPERATO R. THE SHAFT LANDED APPROXIMATELY 1/4" BEHIND THE STEEL TOE OF T HE OPERATOR\S BOOT AND PROCEEDED TO SMASH THE 2ND AND 3RD TOES ON THE LEFT FOOT. THIS CAUSED THE AMPUTATION OF THE 3RD TOE.
