The miner listed below was drilling a hole into a piece of sheetmetal on an excavtor with a 3/8" drive electric hand drill. As the bit broke through the other side, the bit "grabbed" and started jerking. The drill slipped out of his hands and spun around striking his right hand.

Miner was hooking a chain onto an autocrane. Mechanic thought chain was hooked and moved boom to the side. The chain hook was caught in miner's gloves and cut his hand.
