Using grinder in mill room. After lunch returned to area & replaced conveyors. 2PM discomfort in eye & washed it w/eye wash. At 2:30PM clocked out as norm. Next morning clocked in norm for shift. Told us eye was irritated. Sent EE for medical assessment. Dr. removed small metal splinter from right eye. Splinter was residual that got into eye from wiping sweat from face.

THE PLANT MANAGER & ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER WERE ATTEMPTING TO DRILL A HOLE IN A 12"X14" SHEET OF PLASTIC. THE MANAGER WAS IN POSSESSION OF THE DRILL WHEN THE DRILL BIT STRUCK THE ASSISTANT'S RIGHT THUMB CAUSING A LACERATION.
