Miner was being trained on the jack leg, when he lost his grip of the jack leg. The jack leg came down and cut the miner on his right Knee. 4 stitches were required. Miner came back to work, and he finished his shift.
The Miner was drilling with a jackleg, his left hand slipped and the drill fell and pinched the middle finger on his right hand. Miner went in to Dr 12-17-10 for checkup - required stitches.
WHILE CUTTING HAND RAIL TUBING ON A CHOPSAW, EE WAS HOLDING THE LONG END OF A 10' PIECE WHEN A SHAVING FROM THE SAW FLEW OUT THE SIDE AND HIT THE UPPER CHEEK THEN THE INSIDE OF HIS SAFETY GLA SSES AND INTO HIS EYE. HE WAS NOT WEARING A FACE SHIELD WHILE HELPING. IT WAS NOT A DIRECT HIT SO IT DID NOT DO MUCH DAMAGE TO THE EYE.
