EE WAS GREASING THE BEARINGS OF THE FRONT PULLEY ON THE CONVEYOR BELT. HE REACHED AROUND IN BEHIND THE GUARD WHILE THE CONVEYOR BELT WAS IN MOTION. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PUT THE GREASE GUN TIP O N THE ZERK HIS LEFT RING FINGER WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN THE CHAIN AND THE SPROCKET. THIS RESULTED IN HIS FINGER TIP BEING SEVERED AT THE FIRST KNUCKLE.
