RES Coal LLC · Caught in, under or between a moving and a stationary object

Employee hooked a 777 wheel station up to a crane. When the crane operator picked up the wheel station to set in place, it shifted causing the wheel station to pin the employee against the rear bumper of the employees' service truck. Employee received a small laceration and bruising to the right leg.

Employee was using an acetylene torch to remove an old chute liner near the scalping screen. Hot slag fell into the top of employee's right work boot, causing a burn. Employee did not seek medical attention until 7/3/2023, at which time the burn was diagnosed as being infected. Employee was hospitalized for infection on 7/5/2023. Employee did not miss work until 7/6/2023.

Employee was using the crane on a service truck to lift a CAT D11 final drive in the shop. EE was turning the hub with the crane and using a chain to guide the hub. The hub turned quickly and pulled the guide chain and in turn pulled EE's shoulder. EE experienced pain in right shoulder. Did not receive any medical treatment until 6/23/2023 when EE started therapy.

Employee notified the Safety Director on 10/22/2020 at 3:00 P.M. that employee received medical treatment for pain in right shoulder caused by constantly correcting the blade tilt control of the D11R dozer employee was operating. The pain got progressively worse even after the blade control was repaired.

Employee was removing the plow bolts on a loader bucket by using an air gun to loosen the nuts. The worn head of the bolt spun and cut through employee's glove and caused a laceration on left palm. The laceration required stitches.

The employee was pulling the starter rope of a gasoline powered pump at a diesel fuel tank. The rope was momentarily hard to pull. This caused a strain to the right shoulder.
