The technician was using a "RAD" gun to torque bolts when the torque gun slipped, crushing the tip of the tech's middle finger on right hand.

Buckskin Mining Company · Struck against a moving object

Operator of 854 rubber tire dozer was doing a clean-up for the electric shovel when he backed over a chunk and jarred his shoulder. Operator stated that he ran over a rock while backing up causing the rubber tire to bounce around. While bouncing the operator felt a small pain in his shoulder and it didn't go away for about a half hour.

While torqueing strut bolts on a 797B with a Rad gun the mechanic holding the backup wrench was struck in the face by the torque wrench reaction arm when the socket turned off the nut. The force of the blow cut the mechanic just below the lower lip. The cut required three stitches to close.
