An employee was drilling into a piece of metal when the drill bit got stuck. When this occurred they lost grip of the drill. When this occurred it went around and hit them in the back of the hand. This resulted in a fracture of a finger. As of 05/09/2023 change of status.

Showing all 3At approximately 11:30 haul truck 352 was being loaded in the Pick Pit. Upon being loaded with material the truck rocked side to side. When the truck rocked the operator experienced pain in the left back area. Operator parked the haul truck and notified the foreman.
Employee was utilizing an compressed air lance in the crusher area, when a piece of rock struck the lance, pinching left hand. 4 sutures were required to close the wound.
