Employee using hand grinder with cutting disc to trim off steel patch, disc caught on edge of steel and shattered. Piece of disc struck left forearm lodging under skin causing laceration. Stitches required to close wound.

Employee attempted to help another employee cut a board. Just as the employee cutting the board was finishing the cut, the injured employee got his hand too close to the blade of the saw and the blade nicked his finger on his right hand. He received two small cuts which required a total of 3 stitches. Released for regular duty.

Employee was using a torch to cut down some old pipes when one of the pipes fell and knocked him off his step ladder causing a laceration to his left ear.

EE was using a jackhammer through an access port in #6 rock feeder when a chunk fell hitting the jackhammer bit and forcing the other end of the jackhammer against his head. He suffered a laceration to the left side of his head requiring 6 stitches.

EE was using the high pressure water blaster to clean in the preheater tower. He pulled the gun out of one port & went to another. The trigger engaged and the high pressure water was aimed at EE's foot. The water cut through his boot and into his right foot, causing a deep puncture wound.

Employee was attempting to use compressed air to bow down some sticky material. He forgot to turn off the air cannons and opened up a 1" hole to put the air lance into. Just as he was inserting the air lance, the air cannon fired and blew hot dust out the hole knocking his face shield and glasses off his head. He got hot dust into both eyes. He has scratches on both eyes.
