Miners foot was pinched between equipment causing the miner to fall and hit chair bracket with his elbow creating toe to become swollen and soreness of the elbow.
The employee was breaking up a dry ball in the hydrators when it came off the shaft with such force that the area was filled with hot lime. He did not think he needed to see a doctor at that time but later went to the Emergency Room on Sat. 9/13/08. He was diagnosed with 1st & 2nd degree burns. NO LOST TIME, however he does have work restrictions.

EMPLOYEE WAS CUTTING A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT TO SIZE. THE PART BEING CUT OFF WAS NOT SUPPORTED AND WAS ALLOWED TO FALL. WHEN IT FELL IT BOUNCED AND HIT HIM IN THE CHEST. THERE IS NO LOST TIME OR RESTRICTED WORK DUTIES. HOWEVER, HE IS TO RECEIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR 2 WEEKS.
