EMPLOYEE WAS LAYING ON GROUND UNDER A SECTION OF DREDGE PIPELINE WHILE WELDING WHEN A SMALL PIECE OF WELDING SLAG FELL INTO HIS LEFT EAR CAUSING DISCOMFORT. THE PIECE OF SLAG WAS EXTRACTED BY A PHYSICIAN AND THE EMPLOYEE WAS RELEASED WITHOUT ANY WORK RESTRICTIONS.
