WHILE EMPLOYEE WAS GRINDING A PUMP HOUSING, A SMALL PIECE OF METAL CHIPPED OFF AND ENTERED EMPLOYEE'S RIGHT EYE. EMPLOYEE WAS NOT WEARING SAFETY GLASSES ALTHOUGH THEY WERE PROVIDED, AS IT WAS A MINOR JOB. EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCED DISCOMFORT AND SINCE IT WAS LATE FRIDAY EVENING HE DECIDED TO HAVE IT CHECKED AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM. AN OINTMENT WAS PRESCRIBE.

EMPLOYEE WAS CUTTING TREE LIMPS IN AN EFFECT TO CLEAR LAND FOR DREDGING.HE WAS USING A CHAIN SAW.WHILE CLIMBING OVER DEBRIS TO CUT MORE LIMBS,HE ALLOWED THE SAW TO STAY ON IDLE.THE SAW BRUSHED HIS LEG JUST BELOW THE KNEE CAP,CUTTING THE SKIN ONLY.FOUR STITCHES WERE TAKEN IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM.
