Employee was using a cutting torch to do repair work and a piece of metal went under his safety glasses and stuck in his eye. Went to Dr. and had it removed and given medicine.
Was moving rock and material with dozer and dozer blade slipped off edge of rock causing dozer to jolt.
Was cutting piece of metal w/hand torch-piece of spark went under glasses into rt eye. Went to Dr. and was given eye drops.
Employee was using steam ginny to clean off highwall miner - slipped on wet surface injurying ribs & rt shoulder. Went to Dr. Has cracked ribs & pulled muscle in shoulder.
EE WAS BRINGING DOZER OF BENCHED AREA. DOZER CAME DOWN ON BIG ROCK, WHEN DOZER CAME OFF ROCK IT JERKED HIM FORWARD & BACK, CAUSING NECK AND LOWER BACK PAIN, DR. TOLD HIM IT WAS SIMILAR TO WHIP LASH. SCHEDULED TO BE OFF TIL 6-26-02.
EE WAS SLOPING WITH D-6 DOZER. NOTICED PAIN IN NECK AND SHOULDERS. THOUGHT IT WOULD GO AWAY. MUSCLE SWELLED BETWEEN SHOULDERS. SAW DR ON 9/1/00. PAIN MED, MUSCLE RELAXERS, & THERAPY FOR 2 OR 3 TIMES.
