EMPLOYEE WAS USING A BAY-FLEX PORTABLE GRINDER TO PREPARE A 1/2 IN. STEEL PLATE FOR WELDING. EMPLOYEE WAS WEARING SIDE SHIELD GLASSES AND FULL FACE SHIELD. AFTER GRINDING, WHEN HE RAISED THE F ACE SHIELD, METAL PARTICLES ON THE BILL OF HIS HARD HAT FELL DOWN AROUND HIS SIDE SHIELD GLASSES INTO HIS RT. EYE. EYE WAS WASHED 15 MIN. AND EMP. WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL ER FOR TREATMENT. EMP.
