EMPLOYEE WAS ASSISTING A WELDER BY HOLDING THE METAL PIECE TO BE WELDED. ALTHOUGH ATTEMPTING TO LOOK AWAY DURING THE WELDING PROCESS, THE EMPLOYEE LOOKED AT THE WELD SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT THE PROTECTION OF APPROPRIATE WELDING GOGGLES OR GLASSES. HIS EYES BEGAN TO STING/BURN SEVERAL HOURS LATER ("WELDER'S FLASH").
