I.NAME WAS CHECKING THE JAW CRUSHER WHEN THE WIND BLEW DUST IN HIS RIGHT EYE. EXCESSIVE RUBBING CAUSED A PIECE OF SAND TO SCRATCH THE CORNEA. FLUSHING THE EYE WOULD NOT REMOVE THE SAND SO MEDI CAL ATTENTION WAS NECESSARY ON 7/2 AND 7/5. PRESCRIPTION EYE DROPS WERE GIVEN AND USED. LOST TIMME OR LIGHT DUTY OCCURRED.

THE INJURED WAS UNLOADING HIS SURVEY EQUIPMENT FROM THE SUBURBAN IN THE SOUTH PIT WHEN A GUST OFWIND CAUGHT THE DOOR AND SLAMMED IT INTO HIS HEAD.HE WAS GIVEN FIRST AID TREATMENT AT 10:30AM.HE WAS DRIVEN INTO LAS VEGAS FOR MEDICAL TREATMENTBECAUSE HE WAS EXPERIENCING SIGNS OF HEAD INUURY.THE XRAYS REVEALED NO BROKEN BONES BUT HE WAS NOT RELEASED FOR WORK UNTIL 05-25-89.
