EMPLOYEE WAS GETTING ON 1474RT DOZER AT THE START OF AFTERNOON SHIFT. HE PLACED HIS LEFT FOOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STEP AND LEFT HAND ON THE RAIL. HE THEN PLACED HIS RIGHT HAND ON THE RAIL AND PROCEEDED TO CLIMB ON TO THE DOZER. WHEN HE PUTHIS WEIGHT ON THE BOTTOM STEP, THE STEP BROKE, CAUSING A SUDDEN JOLT TO HIS RIGHT SHOULDER. SAW DOCTOR 11/19/93. BEGAN LOSING TIME 12/17/93.
