Employee was working out of a 45' man lift. EE was bolting up purlins. EE had to move the basket around the column to complete bolt up. When EE moved the basket it lurched to EE's left catching EE's finger between the column and the basket.

Showing all 5While tramming an electric locomotive, out of the mine, dust, dirt or another unknown debris entered the miner's eye. The event resulted in an abrasion to the eye and antibiotics were administered to the eye.
An OSMI foreman was driving an electric locomotive into the mine and upon approaching a run around, the foreman reached down for a bottle of water. At the moment they sat up, the foreman fell from the locomotive and was crushed between the locomotive and rib. The foreman suffered broken ribs and a fractured pelvis.
Employee was riding into the mine on a rail bike when he encountered an 8-ton battery locomotive. He exited the bike and was trying to get it off the track when the locomotive struck the bike, propelling a piece of the bike into his leg, bruising it.
Employee was riding on rear of pulled train cars. Lifted head and back of mine struck his hardhat, knocking him off onto rail. Taken to hospital for evaluation - did not see any injuries - released. Possible minor concussion.
