Employee driving mine pickup on haul road - ran into berm "jarring" his shoulder. He said steering locked up - two supervisors checked/drove truck and found no problem with steering.
EE PULLED HIS HAUL TRUCK ONTO HAUL ROAD AT PIT 3. HE NEVER STOPPED TURNING RIGHT (TO STRAIGHTEN TRUCK OUT), JUMPED THE BERM AND ROLLED ONTO RT. SIDE OF TRUCK. EE SAID HE "NODDED OFF." TRUCK HA D VERY MINOR DAMAGE. EE SPENT 1 NIGHT IN HOSPITAL AND WAS RELEASED WITH ONLY SCRAPES AND BRUISES.
A BACKHOE DROPPED A LARGE BOULDER INTO HAUL TRUCK BED. THE WEIGHT OF THE BOULDER CAUSED THE TRUCK TO BOUNCE. EMPLOYEE'S BACK WAS JARRED DUE TO THE SUDDEN BOUNCE. EMPLOYEE WAS NOT WEARING A SEA T BELT.
